What is a performance fabric? Perhaps you’ve been familiar with the term for years, but chances are you’ve never heard of it. Here’s a quick performance fabric guide for beginners.
What are performance fabrics?
Performance fabrics are fabrics that can easily be cleaned when stained. Thanks to their water and soil repellency, the fibres in these fabrics don’t absorb products that easily make stains, such as soda, sauces and mud. Most of the times, you only need water and a bit of liquid soap to get rid of stains, leaving your furniture as new afterwards.
How exactly do you clean them?
Cleaning performance fabrics takes up just a few minutes. First, you get rid of any excess dirt or liquid with a blunt object or a paper towel. Afterwards, you use a clean cloth and lukewarm water/a mix of lukewarm water and soap to gently rub the stained area on your furniture. Once the stain is completely gone, you can let the fabric air dry.
Vivalife performance fabrics
Vivalife by Ter Molst is entirely designed and produced in the company’s two hubs in Belgium and the USA. The main focus with this collection is fun: the fabrics in this collection are designed in such a way that you can first enjoy the events that caused the stains, whether that be a party or a good cuddle with the dog that just got back from digging holes in the garden. The revolutionary technology in Vivalife performance fabrics ensures that stains don’t have to be cleaned right away and will still disappear completely if you clean them the next day.
Symphony Mills performance fabrics
Easy 2 Clean by Symphony Mills is a collection of performance fabrics that, just like Vivalife, don’t use any PFC chemicals to be made stain-repellent. Just like in many Symphony Mills collections, you’ll also find the typical deep and rich tones in this collection. The first quality in this range is the lustrous Jade, a velvet look with a an extremely soft touch and luxurious appearance.
Easy 2 Clean performance fabrics are cleanable with just water.
